"Full Trust in PM Modi’s India": Israel Confirms as Netanyahu Visit Coordination Underway
Israeli PM office reaffirms unbreakable Modi-Netanyahu bond despite delay.
The Office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement on Tuesday emphasising the “very strong” personal and strategic relationship between Netanyahu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while confirming that teams from both countries are already coordinating a new date for the long-anticipated visit. The clarification came amid reports in Israeli media suggesting the trip, previously expected before year-end, had been postponed.
Addressing speculation directly, the Israeli PM’s office posted on X: “Israel’s bond with India and between Prime Minister Netanyahu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very strong. The PM has full confidence in India’s security under PM Modi, and teams are already coordinating a new visit date.” The statement effectively downplayed any notion of strain, framing the rescheduling as routine diplomatic coordination.
Sources in New Delhi clarified that no official announcement or finalised itinerary for Netanyahu’s visit had ever been made public, countering suggestions of a formal postponement. This would have been Netanyahu’s first trip to India since his landmark 2018 visit — the second by any Israeli Prime Minister — which followed Modi’s historic standalone visit to Israel in 2017.

Reinforcing bilateral momentum, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal recently concluded a high-level visit to Israel, where he met Netanyahu in Jerusalem. Goyal conveyed Prime Minister Modi’s personal warm wishes and discussed outcomes of the India-Israel Business Forum and CEOs Forum with Israeli Economy Minister Nir Barkat.
In his own social media post, Netanyahu hailed the expanding partnership, stating: “Israel and India are strengthening our strategic partnership, more investments, more innovation, and a strong economic corridor from India through Israel to Europe. Together we are building economic power.” The exchange underscored that, irrespective of the visit timeline, defence, technology, and economic ties between the two nations continue to deepen at an accelerated pace.
