First-Year MCA Student Dies In Greater Noida After Month Of Online Classes
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the student’s death.
A first-year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) student died by suicide at his residence in Sector Alpha-2 of Greater Noida, under the jurisdiction of the Beta-2 Police Station, police said on Wednesday. The student was identified as Abhishek, son of Umesh Chandra, a resident of Nagla Khago in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj district. He had been staying at a house in Block H of Sector Alpha-2.
According to police, Abhishek had moved to Gautam Buddh Nagar around a month ago and was pursuing his first-year MCA course through online classes. He was found dead in his room after police received information about the incident. His family members were informed and subsequently reached the spot following the incident.
A police team reached the residence and carried out the necessary legal procedures before sending the body for post-mortem examination. Police officials also inspected the premises along with a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). The forensic team examined the scene and collected relevant evidence as part of the investigation.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the student's death are being examined and that the reason behind it has not been established so far. Investigators are gathering information from his family members, acquaintances and other people who may have been in contact with him. Officials are also examining the available evidence and other aspects of the case.
Authorities said further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation and the post-mortem examination. Police are continuing to establish the sequence of events and determine the circumstances that preceded the student's death. The exact reason remains unclear, and officials said the remaining facts are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
