Fire Breaks Out on Air India Flight Minutes After Landing in Delhi!
A sudden fire broke out in the auxiliary power unit of Air India flight AI‑315 as it landed in Delhi, but automatic systems kicked in and all ~170 aboard exited safely.
Panic sparked briefly at Indira Gandhi International Airport when an Air India flight from Hong Kong caught fire moments after landing. The blaze ignited in the aircraft's auxiliary power unit (APU) just as passengers were disembarking.
Fortunately, the system’s fire detection mechanism triggered an automatic shutdown, and everyone onboard exited safely. The twin-jet Airbus A321 sustained some damage and has been grounded for investigation.
Authorities, including the DGCA, have been alerted as scrutiny intensifies over the airline’s recent safety record.
