EPS Secures 1.38 Lakh Votes, Maintains Strong Lead In Tamil Nadu 2026 Polls

Edappadi K. Palaniswami of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has registered a strong lead in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2026, securing 1.38 lakh votes and moving ahead by over 90,000 votes in his constituency, according to ongoing counting trends.

The result highlights a significant individual performance for the former Chief Minister in a politically charged election season marked by intense competition across the state. While statewide trends remain fluid, Palaniswami’s margin places him among the most decisive winners in early counting patterns, underscoring his continued influence in his traditional stronghold.

The 2026 Tamil Nadu elections have been widely viewed as a multi-cornered contest, with established Dravidian parties facing new challenges from emerging political forces.
