Delhi's Chandni Chowk Shop Engulfed in Late-Night Fire, Rescue Teams Battle Flames

A fire broke out at a shop in north Delhi’s bustling Chandni Chowk area late Friday night, causing alarm among local residents and shopkeepers. The incident occurred in one of the city’s oldest and most crowded commercial hubs, raising concerns due to narrow lanes and dense construction.
The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received information about the fire at approximately 10:58 pm. Acting swiftly, officials dispatched five fire tenders to the scene to prevent the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings and shops.
According to a DFS official, firefighting operations were immediately initiated upon arrival. Firefighters worked under challenging conditions, navigating congested streets and closely packed structures common to the Chandni Chowk area.
