Delhi University to Release CSAS-UG 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment List Soon
DU's Round 1 seat allotment nears for 2.73 lakh CUET applicants.
The University of Delhi (DU) has announced the release of the Round 1 seat allocation list for undergraduate admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) 2026. Candidates who registered for the admission process and completed the preference-filling stage based on their CUET UG 2026 scores can now check whether they have secured admission to their preferred college and programme. This year's admission process covers 71,624 undergraduate seats across 73 academic programmes, with approximately 2.73 lakh candidates participating in the allocation process.
Students can access their seat allotment by visiting the official DU undergraduate admission portal and logging in with their CUET UG 2026 application credentials. To check the allotment status, candidates must enter their application number, password, and the security captcha on the candidate login page. Once logged in, they can open the 'First Round Allotment Status' section to view the college and programme allotted to them. Candidates are also advised to download and save the allotment letter for future admission-related requirements.
Following the announcement of the seat allocation results, candidates who receive an allotment must complete several mandatory steps to secure their provisional admission. The first requirement is to accept the allotted seat within the prescribed deadline. After the seat is accepted, the respective college will verify the documents uploaded by the candidate. Once the verification process is successfully completed, students will be required to pay the admission fee online to confirm their admission.

According to the official admission schedule, the seat acceptance window will remain open from July 16 until 11:59 pm on July 18. Colleges will carry out document verification between July 16 and 4:59 pm on July 20, while the last date for payment of the admission fee is 11:59 pm on July 21. Candidates are advised to complete each stage within the specified timelines to avoid any disruption in the admission process.
The university has also issued an important advisory for applicants participating in the counselling process. Candidates who fail to accept their allotted seat by the deadline of July 18 will be removed from the ongoing CSAS admission process and will not be considered for that round. Students are therefore encouraged to regularly monitor the admission portal for updates, complete document verification promptly, and ensure that all required formalities are finished within the stipulated schedule.
Delhi University conducts undergraduate admissions through the CSAS portal based on CUET UG scores, aiming to provide a transparent and centralized admission process across its constituent colleges. The university will continue the admission cycle with subsequent counselling rounds to fill remaining vacancies after the completion of Round 1. As per the announced schedule, the Round 2 seat allocation list will be released on July 25, providing another opportunity for eligible candidates to secure admission into their desired programmes.
