Delhi launches ANMOL scheme to boost newborn healthcare services.
The Delhi Government has announced the launch of its ANMOL (Aarogya Newborn Monitoring and Life-saving) scheme, aimed at enhancing newborn healthcare and improving emergency medical response for infants across the city. The initiative is expected to strengthen neonatal care services in hospitals and ensure timely interventions for critical cases.
Under the ANMOL scheme, health facilities will be equipped with advanced monitoring tools, enabling medical staff to track vital signs and respond quickly to emergencies. The program also emphasizes training healthcare workers in neonatal resuscitation and other life-saving procedures, aiming to reduce infant mortality rates in Delhi.
Officials highlighted that the scheme would integrate digital platforms to streamline communication between hospitals and emergency services. This will facilitate faster referrals and ensure that newborns requiring specialized care are promptly transferred to equipped facilities.
