A heartwarming story from Mohali has captured the internet’s attention: Vanshpreet Singh and Anmol Kaur, a deaf and mute couple, have launched a successful vegetarian tiffin service named ‘Quietly Delicious’. Despite facing daily communication challenges, the couple’s perseverance and delicious home-style cooking have won over locals and gone viral on social media. Their young son Sukhmehar Singh serves as the family’s enthusiastic spokesperson in charming Instagram videos, explaining dishes like roti and aloo-gobhi with infectious energy.
The cloud kitchen, which packs wholesome vegetarian thalis, offers everyday favorites such as dal, chole, seasonal vegetables, and sweets. Poori and chole have emerged as crowd favorites among customers. Orders pour in from nearby housing societies, and the family also caters bulk requests for religious offerings and langar-style meals for the underprivileged. The couple views distributing food to the needy as an act of ‘sewa’, adding a deeper layer of purpose to their venture.
Family support has been key to their success. Vanshpreet learned cooking skills by assisting his mother Inderjeet Kaur in the kitchen, while their daughter-in-law Himanshi, a data engineer living abroad, manages the Instagram page that now boasts over 21,600 followers. Sukhmehar helps pack tiffins after school, and his younger brother Charanmeet also pitches in. The entire family relocated from Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, to Mohali after their transport business faced difficulties, turning adversity into a fresh start.

Proud parents Gurmeet Singh and Inderjeet Kaur shared that the response has been overwhelming since the move to a rented home in Mohali. “By God’s grace, people love the home-cooked taste,” Gurmeet told PTI. Vanshpreet, through his father’s translation, expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support. “We have just begun and already people are showering their love,” he said, visibly moved.
