Crash on Noida Expressway Claims Three Lives

Car-truck collision kills three, injures three on expressway.

A devastating accident on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Greater Noida claimed the lives of three individuals late Thursday night, police reported on Friday, August 22, 2025. The fatal collision occurred around 10 pm near the Akbarpur Toll Plaza, under the jurisdiction of Dadri police station, when a car carrying six passengers from Haridwar to Faridabad slammed into a truck.

According to Dadri police station in-charge Arvind Kumar, the victims, identified as Gaurav from Kosikalan in Mathura, who was driving the car, and Lokesh and Gautam from Faridabad, succumbed to their injuries during treatment at a nearby hospital. The three other passengers, Lalit, Harvinder, and Kuldeep, all residents of Faridabad, were injured but are reported to be in stable condition and receiving medical care.

The police have seized both the car and the truck involved in the crash, and the bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the collision, including potential factors such as speed, road conditions, or driver error. The Eastern Peripheral Expressway, a critical route connecting multiple cities in the National Capital Region, has witnessed several accidents in recent years, raising concerns about road safety.
