CM Yogi To Visit Chitrakoot, Relief Material For 800 Flood-Affected Families

Yogi visits Chitrakoot to distribute relief among flood-hit families.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Chitrakoot on Sunday to assess the flood situation and review relief and rehabilitation measures being carried out by the district administration. During the visit, he will take stock of the conditions in flood-affected areas and examine the assistance being provided to families impacted by the recent flooding.

The Chief Minister will distribute relief material among 800 flood-affected families during his visit. He will also provide land allocation certificates to families who lost their homes in the disaster, enabling them to secure land for residential purposes. Eligible families will additionally receive financial assistance through the State Disaster Response Fund to support recovery from flood-related losses.

As part of the programme, Yogi Adityanath will conduct an aerial survey of flood-hit areas to assess the extent of flooding, damage to infrastructure and the condition of affected settlements. He is also scheduled to visit a night shelter and interact with people displaced by the floods. The interaction will allow him to hear their concerns and understand their immediate requirements.

The Chief Minister is expected to seek information from affected residents about the assistance being provided by government agencies and the difficulties they continue to face. District officials will brief him on ongoing relief, rescue and rehabilitation operations, including measures being taken to ensure that essential support reaches affected families without delay.

Several public representatives and officials are scheduled to accompany or attend the programme, including Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, District Panchayat Administrator Ashok Jatav, Chitrakoot Dham Karwi Municipal Council Chairman Narendra Gupta and Manikpur MLA Avinash Chandra Dwivedi. Other officials and local dignitaries are also expected to be present during the Chief Minister’s visit.

The visit is expected to provide the state government with a direct assessment of the flood situation and the progress of relief operations in Chitrakoot. Yogi Adityanath is also expected to review the rehabilitation measures and emphasise timely assistance for families affected by the disaster.
