CM Soren to Flag Off Mega Development Projects on Silver Jubilee
166 massive projects unveiled as state turns 25 in style.
Jharkhand is all set to mark its 25th foundation day on November 15 with an unprecedented development splash, as Chief Minister Hemant Soren launches and lays foundation stones for 166 projects worth a staggering ₹5,992 crore. The grand ceremony at Ranchi’s Morhabadi Ground will see the state rolling out new degree colleges, hospitals, sports complexes, hostels, and hundreds of kilometres of roads in one of the biggest single-day project announcements in its history.
Road infrastructure dominates the package with 66 projects valued at ₹2,396 crore, followed by 24 major initiatives each from the Water Resources Department (₹2,082 crore) and Urban Development Department (₹887 crore). Education receives a major boost too—21 school projects worth ₹61 crore and 17 higher and technical education projects worth ₹412 crore will be flagged off, signalling a strong focus on future-ready infrastructure across urban and rural Jharkhand.
The two-day State Foundation Day Festival on November 15–16 will transform Morhabadi Ground into a celebration of Jharkhandi pride. A special exhibition honouring tribal icon Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his 150th birth anniversary, alongside a tribute to “Dishom Guru” Shibu Soren, will showcase the state’s hard-fought journey. Visitors can explore an immersive zone featuring short films, digital displays, and live cultural performances that highlight 25 years of progress and rich tribal heritage.

Festivities gained momentum earlier this week when CM Hemant Soren and MLA Kalpana Soren flagged off the “Run for Jharkhand” marathon and launched a statewide publicity campaign. Dozens of brightly decorated vans have already begun touring every district, block, and village, spreading awareness about welfare schemes, development milestones, and the emotional story of Jharkhand’s creation.
Speaking at Bapu Vatika, Chief Minister Soren described the silver jubilee as both celebration and resolve. With folk dancers, Santali musicians, and thousands of proud residents filling the air with energy, Jharkhand is not just commemorating 25 years of statehood tomorrow—it is boldly scripting the next chapter of growth, identity, and inclusive prosperity.
