CM Shivakumar Appeals To People For Peace, Harmony On Ganesh Chaturthi

Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Monday extended greetings to people across the state on the occasion of the Gowri-Ganesha festival and wished for happiness, peace and prosperity. He appealed to people to celebrate the festival responsibly while maintaining peace and harmony during the festivities and the immersion of Ganesha idols. Shivakumar also prayed for good rainfall and a bountiful harvest across Karnataka.

In his festival message, Shivakumar invoked the blessings of Lord Ganesha, describing him as the remover of obstacles, and expressed hope that happiness, peace and prosperity would prevail throughout the state. He also paid tribute to the mothers of Karnataka, describing them as embodiments of Goddess Gowri, who is worshipped first during the festival. The Chief Minister further urged people to install eco-friendly Ganesha idols.

Shivakumar said the contentment created in crores of households through the government’s guarantee schemes would add to the festive spirit and joy. He appealed to people to ensure that celebrations remain peaceful and meaningful, particularly during idol immersion. Shivakumar also conveyed his greetings to the people through a one-minute video message.

Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda also extended his greetings on the occasion of Gauri-Ganesha Chaturthi and prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being in Karnataka. He invoked the blessings of Goddess Gauri and Lord Ganesha and wished for happiness, contentment and prosperity for people across the state. Deve Gowda also expressed hope for relief from the drought-like situation and said agriculture and farming activities should not be affected.

Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy similarly greeted the people on the occasion of Sri Swarna Gowri and Ganesh Chaturthi. He prayed that the blessings of Goddess Swarna Gowri and Lord Ganesha would help alleviate the difficulties faced by people and bring happiness, peace, contentment and prosperity across Karnataka.

BJP state president and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra also extended his festival greetings and prayed for the blessings of Goddess Gowri and Lord Ganesha. He wished for happiness, peace, good health and prosperity in households across the state and expressed hope that the festival would mark the beginning of greater goodwill, harmony and noble deeds in Karnataka. Vijayendra also released a video message conveying his wishes to the people.
