CM Majhi: PM Modi’s Five-State Tour Will Accelerate Development Projects

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming five-state tour, calling it a testament to India’s rapid progress. The tour, covering Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar, will see Modi inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 71,850 crore, aimed at enhancing infrastructure, connectivity, and economic growth.
In a post on X, Majhi highlighted the tour’s significance, stating, “Bharat is witnessing an era of rapid transformation under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji.” He emphasized that the projects reflect India’s commitment to inclusive development, aligning with the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). The initiatives are expected to empower citizens, improve regional connectivity, and create new opportunities for growth across diverse regions.
A key highlight is the inauguration of the Bairabi-Sairang rail line in Mizoram, marking the state’s first connection to India’s rail network. Majhi described this as a “historic milestone” symbolizing national unity and integration. The rail project is poised to enhance accessibility and economic prospects in the Northeast, a region prioritized for development under Modi’s leadership.
