CJP Announces 12-Member Team to Steer Movement For Next Six Months

CJP names 12-member team to lead movement after Jantar Mantar protest.

The Cockroach Janta Party has announced a 12-member leadership team that will guide its activities over the next six months as the youth-focused organisation seeks to expand its campaign across the country. The group reiterated that it does not intend to convert itself into a formal political party.

The organisational structure was unveiled during a two-day meeting in Sambhaji Nagar, days after the CJP ended its 36-day protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. The demonstration concluded after authorities accepted the group’s key demands, allowing its members to shift their attention towards building a wider national network.

The new team includes professionals from journalism, engineering, law, accountancy, entrepreneurship, hotel management, public policy, finance and technology. The CJP said this combination represented the professionally diverse and youth-oriented leadership it wanted to develop as its campaign moved beyond street demonstrations.
