Chinese Communist Party Delegation Meets RSS General Secretary in Delhi
Chinese Communist Party delegation meets RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale in Delhi for a courtesy call.
A delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held a meeting with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale in New Delhi on Tuesday, according to sources familiar with the development. The interaction took place at Hosabale’s office at around 11 am and continued for nearly an hour.
Sources described the meeting as a courtesy call, initiated at the request of the Chinese side. While no official details of the discussions were disclosed, the engagement is being viewed as significant given the ideological differences between the RSS and the ruling Communist Party in China.
The meeting gains added importance as it followed a visit by a CPC delegation to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in Delhi just a day earlier. That delegation was led by Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

During the BJP–CPC interaction, discussions reportedly focused on strengthening inter-party communication and fostering dialogue between the BJP and the CPC. The talks were led by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh and were described as wide-ranging and constructive.
Chinese Ambassador to India Xu Feihong was also part of the delegation that visited the BJP headquarters, underlining the diplomatic significance of the outreach. The back-to-back meetings suggest a renewed effort by China to engage with key political and ideological stakeholders in India.
These interactions come at a time when India–China relations remain complex due to ongoing border tensions and strategic competition. Observers see such engagements as part of broader diplomatic and political channels aimed at managing differences and maintaining dialogue between the two countries.
