Eyewitnesses reported that the bus was overcrowded, carrying passengers well beyond its capacity. The severe impact left the bus mangled, making rescue efforts challenging. Local residents quickly responded to the loud crash, working together to extract passengers from the wreckage.

Among the injured were the bus driver and conductor, with a total of 15 people sustaining injuries. Emergency services promptly transported the victims to nearby government and private hospitals for treatment.
