#BreakingNews: Fire Breaks Out at Sangareddy Private School, No Casualties Reported

Blaze engulfs Shraddha’s High School in Sangareddy, but no casualties reported as premises were empty.

A fire broke out at Shraddha’s High School in Pothireddypalli village, Sangareddy district, on Wednesday, sending thick smoke plumes into the sky. Fortunately, no students or staff were present, as the school was closed for the Telangana Municipal Election-2026.

The first distress call reached authorities at around 11:11 a.m., prompting the Sadasivpet Fire Station to dispatch a fire tender to the scene. Fire Officer Bhikshapati confirmed that the blaze originated on the ground floor of the G+3 building, affecting the reception and office areas.

Preliminary reports suggest a short circuit may have triggered the fire, though officials emphasized that a detailed investigation is underway to determine the exact cause. The fire, though relatively small, generated thick smoke that alarmed residents nearby.

Firefighters acted swiftly, bringing the blaze under control by noon. No injuries or casualties were reported, and the quick response prevented what could have been a major disaster. Residents expressed relief at the prompt action taken by the local authorities.

Authorities have cordoned off the affected areas to assess structural damage and ensure safety before reopening the school. The incident also serves as a reminder for educational institutions to review fire safety protocols, particularly during public holidays or closures.

Officials have urged school management to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation and implement necessary safety measures. Meanwhile, local residents continue to monitor the site as fire officials conduct follow-up inspections to prevent any recurrence.
