#BreakingNews: Army Detains PoK Teen After LoC Crossing
Army handed her to Nowshera Police for verification; agencies are probing.
A 17-year-old girl from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir was detained after allegedly crossing the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district late Friday night. The teenager was noticed near the Line of Control fence in the Lam sector of Nowshera by an Army patrol, which challenged her after observing suspicious movement in the area.
The patrol party approached the person and found that the individual was a teenager from Khuiretta in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The circumstances of her crossing the Line of Control are now being examined by security agencies, which are seeking to establish whether she crossed inadvertently or whether there was any other reason behind her presence on the Indian side.
The girl was questioned briefly at the spot by the Army following her detention. Preliminary questioning was carried out to establish her identity and understand how she had reached the area near the Line of Control fence.

Following the initial questioning, the Indian Army handed the teenager over to Nowshera Police for further verification. Police authorities are expected to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident as part of the verification process.
The detention took place in the Lam sector of Nowshera, an area along the Line of Control where security forces maintain heightened vigilance. The movement was detected by an Army patrol operating near the fence, leading to the teenager being stopped and detained.
