NIA Raids 22 Locations Across India in Terror Conspiracy Crackdown
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted simultaneous raids at 22 locations across five states and Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, targeting a terror conspiracy case linked to anti-national networks.
The operation, based on actionable intelligence, covered nine sites in J&K’s Baramulla, Kulgam, Anantnag, Pulwama, Budgam, Pattan, and Kangan districts; eight in Bihar; two in Uttar Pradesh; and one each in Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, officials confirmed.
The raids, executed with state police coordination, targeted residences of suspects allegedly involved in terror financing, recruitment, and cross-border coordination. The case, registered as RC-1/2025/NIA/CHE and handed over by the Ministry of Home Affairs, focuses on a network suspected of destabilizing law and order.

The NIA is investigating high-profile incidents, including the June 9, 2024, Reasi attack that killed nine pilgrims, with some locals accused of aiding terrorists. Incriminating materials, including digital devices and documents, were seized for scrutiny to unravel the conspiracy’s details.
The operation follows a June 2025 crackdown in J&K, where 32 locations linked to groups like The Resistance Front and Lashkar-e-Taiba yielded arms and data. The NIA’s intensified efforts reflect the government’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism, amid rising threats post the April 2024 Pahalgam attack.
