#BREAKING: Lalu Yadav Airlifted to Delhi as Health Takes a Dive

Skyward SOS: Lalu Yadav Rushed to Delhi as Health Takes a Dive

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was airlifted to Delhi on April 2, 2025, as his health took a sharp turn for the worse, sending alarm bells ringing through Bihar’s political corridors.

The 76-year-old former Chief Minister, battling a cocktail of ailments—diabetes, kidney issues, and heart disease—saw his condition deteriorate after a routine check-up in Patna revealed dangerously high blood sugar levels. Doctors, deeming local care insufficient, greenlit his urgent transfer to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for advanced treatment.

Sources say Lalu had been unwell for two days, with an old wound worsening under the strain of his spiking sugar levels. This isn’t his first medical rodeo—last September, he underwent angioplasty in Mumbai, a procedure to unclog his arteries, following a 2014 aortic valve replacement.

His latest health scare, however, has sparked fresh concern among supporters and family, with son Tejashwi Yadav reportedly overseeing the swift evacuation.

The timing couldn’t be more charged. Lalu, a towering figure in Bihar’s politics, has been vocal on issues like the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, even as he juggles legal battles in the land-for-jobs scam. Posts on X buzzed with updates—some noting his departure from Patna, others speculating on political fallout.

For RJD loyalists, it’s a tense wait; for rivals, a moment to watch closely. As the chopper touched down in Delhi, one thing was clear: Lalu’s health crisis is more than a personal fight—it’s a pivot point for a state on edge, with a warrior who refuses to fade quietly.
