BJP MP Tejasvi Surya Ties the Knot with Singer Sivasree Skanda Prasad

The wedding, attended by close family and friends, blended traditional rituals with a personal touch, reflecting the couple’s rootedness in Indian culture.
Several top BJP leaders including party's state president B Y Vijayendra, Union ministers V Somanna and Arjun Ram Meghwal, as well as BJP MPs and MLAs attended the ceremony and blessed the couple.
The rituals began Wednesday evening with pujas, culminating Thursday at 10:45 a.m. when Tejasvi tied the mangalya around Shivashree’s neck. A shastra ceremony followed to mark their new journey together. The couple’s reception is scheduled for March 9 at Gayathri Vihar, Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, where political dignitaries from across India are expected to join the celebration.
Sivasree, hailing from Tamil Nadu, is celebrated for her soulful renditions, including a Kannada devotional song on Lord Ram praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Ayodhya Ram temple inauguration. A bioengineering graduate from Sastra University, she also holds a degree in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras. Tejasvi and Shivashree, spotted together at events like the Art of Living and the Aero India show, share a passion for culture and fitness.
Ahead of the wedding, Tejasvi sought blessings from Nirmalananda Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt. This union of a dynamic BJP leader and a multi-talented artiste symbolizes a blend of politics and tradition, captivating public attention.
