BJP Chief Nitin Nabin Hoists Tricolour At Delhi Residence

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Nabin on Thursday hoisted the Tricolour at his residence in the national capital as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign ahead of Independence Day. Nabin also took a selfie with the national flag and urged citizens to participate in the campaign as India prepares to celebrate its 80th Independence Day.
In a message on social media, Nabin noted that he had hoisted the Tricolour at his residence in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal. He also remembered the freedom fighters and urged people to participate in the campaign by displaying the national flag at their homes.
Nabin encouraged citizens to take photographs with the Tricolour and share them on social media using the hashtag #HarGharTiranga. He called for wider public participation in the initiative, with the objective of encouraging households across the country to display the national flag as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

Earlier on Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also hoisted the Tricolour at his residence in New Delhi under the campaign. Shah noted that the initiative was strengthening patriotism and pride among citizens and promoting the spirit of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' as people across the country participate in the celebrations.
Several Union ministers have also been participating in events associated with the campaign. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu flagged off a Tiranga Rally on Thursday, adding to the activities being organised ahead of August 15.
Launched under the aegis of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign encourages citizens to bring the national flag into their homes and hoist it during Independence Day celebrations. The 2026 edition has a special focus on commemorating 150 years of 'Vande Mataram', linking the campaign with the national song's historical significance and the broader celebrations around Independence Day.
