Bengaluru Woman Critically Injured in Rapido Bike Accident, Alleges Inadequate Support

A 32-year-old woman has accused bike-taxi platform Rapido of failing to provide adequate assistance after she was seriously injured during a ride to work. Sani Krishna described the June 17 accident and its aftermath in an Instagram post, claiming that her medical expenses had exceeded ₹20 lakh following multiple surgeries and prolonged treatment.

According to Krishna, the crash occurred near Bagmane Tech Park while the Rapido rider was attempting to overtake a tractor. She alleged that the rider made a reckless manoeuvre, causing the motorcycle to lose balance and throwing her onto the road. She further claimed that the tractor then ran over her, leaving her critically injured.

Krishna said the impact shattered her ribs and caused severe injuries to her face and other parts of her body. She was admitted to hospital and underwent multiple surgical procedures as doctors treated the extensive trauma. She was later transferred to a medical facility in Kerala to continue receiving treatment and recover from the injuries sustained in the accident.
