Bareilly School Bus Crashes Into Tree, 13 Children Injured
13 children were injured after a school bus crashed.
A school bus carrying 31 children crashed into a roadside tree near Jatau Patti village in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district on Friday morning, leaving 13 children injured. Six of the injured children were reported to be in serious condition following the accident, while seven others were discharged after receiving first aid.
According to Superintendent of Police (North) Mukesh Chandra Mishra, the accident occurred at around 6:30 am when the bus was travelling towards the school. The vehicle reportedly rammed into a tree along the roadside, causing injuries to several children travelling on board.
Six children were subsequently admitted to a hospital for treatment after sustaining serious injuries. Seven other children received first aid and were later discharged, according to the information provided by the police. Further details about the nature of their injuries were not immediately available.

The incident has also raised concerns among parents about the condition of the school bus and the conduct of its driver. Parents alleged that the vehicle was in poor condition and that complaints had previously been made regarding the driver.
Police have begun probing the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the allegations raised by the parents. Superintendent of Police (North) Mukesh Chandra Mishra said action would be taken if any negligence is established during the investigation.
The accident has renewed attention on the safety of schoolchildren travelling by private buses, with the condition of vehicles and conduct of drivers being critical factors in preventing such incidents. Authorities are expected to establish the circumstances that led to the crash as the probe continues.
