AP Govt Prioritises School Infrastructure, Supports Students with Bicycles

Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar visited Kamepalli on Sunday to distribute free bicycles to 37 students, part of the state government’s ongoing initiative to encourage children to continue their education. The programme has so far provided 10,450 bicycles to students across the Addanki constituency, with plans to complete distribution by April 15.
During the event, the minister announced that the government will also provide tricycles to differently-abled individuals, along with driving training to enhance their mobility and independence. “The initiative aims to ensure that every student and differently-abled citizen has the resources they need to access education and opportunities,” he said.
Responding to requests from the students, Gottipati sanctioned a water purification plant for the Kamepalli school, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving basic amenities in educational institutions. He emphasised that upgrading school infrastructure remains a top priority for the state government, reflecting a broader effort to create safe and supportive learning environments.

The minister also spoke about ongoing recruitment efforts for teachers, stating that authorities are conducting selections under the Mega DSC programme led by HRD Minister Nara Lokesh. The initiative aims to strengthen staffing in schools and improve the quality of education across the region.
Officials and local community members attended the ceremony, praising the government’s focus on education and inclusive development. Students expressed their gratitude for the bicycles and the newly sanctioned water plant, noting that such initiatives positively impact their daily learning experience and overall well-being.
Gottipati concluded by reiterating the government’s commitment to educational development in Andhra Pradesh, stressing that continued investment in infrastructure and resources will ensure that students are equipped for academic success and a brighter future.
