Andhra CM Highlights Investments, Welfare Push; Challenges Jagan to Assembly Debate

Naidu Highlights Super Six' welfare promises; Dares Jagan on Medical Colleges and Opposition Role

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu hailed his TDP-led NDA government's 'Super Six' welfare promises as a resounding success during a public meeting in Anantapur, contrasting it with the previous YSRCP regime's alleged Rs 10 lakh crore debt burden.

Naidu emphasized that his administration has attracted equivalent investments, boosting the state's economy and goodwill. This event underscores the political rivalry in Andhra Pradesh, where the NDA's landslide victory in 2024 denied YSRCP official opposition status, reflecting public rejection of former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's leadership.

Addressing the 'Super Six Super Hit' gathering, Naidu criticized the YSRCP era for fostering unrest, unemployment, and drug issues, daring Reddy to attend the Assembly for debates on public problems, including medical colleges. He dismissed Reddy's accusations of corruption in privatizing 10 new medical colleges under Public-Private Partnership (PPP), arguing that mere land allocation doesn't equate to functional institutions.

Naidu praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for GST reforms reducing product prices and outlined his government's achievements. Under the 'Annadatha Sukhibhava' scheme, Rs 3,173 crore was disbursed to 47 lakh farmers. The free bus service benefited five crore women, saving Rs 200 crore. 'Deepam 2.0' provided 2.45 crore LPG cylinders worth Rs 1,704 crore. Other 'Super Six' initiatives include Rs 15,000 annually for schoolchildren and Rs 20,000 for farmers, with assurances of urea availability.

Naidu highlighted irrigation advancements, such as the Handri-Neeva project channeling Krishna waters with Rs 3,850 crore, revitalizing Rayalaseema's barren lands and ending droughts. Projects like Pattikonda, Jeedipalli, and others are now water-filled, supporting pilgrim centers from Tirupati to Srisailam. He envisioned Rayalaseema as 'Ratnala Seema' with industries in defense, aerospace, semiconductors, automobiles, drones, and green energy.

The 2024 elections saw 57% voter support for NDA, securing 164 seats with a 94% strike rate. Naidu reiterated the government's commitment to promises, with Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and BJP chief PVN Madhav also addressing the crowd.
