Anantapur Temple Staff Discover Haunting Death Wish Note in Donation Box, Raises Welfare Concerns

A handwritten message on a Rs 20 currency note discovered inside the donation box of the Subrahmanyeshwara Swamy Temple in Andhra Pradesh has drawn widespread attention after expressing a shocking wish against a family member. The unusual offering, found during the routine counting of temple donations, left officials, staff and devotees surprised and quickly became a topic of discussion on social media.

According to preliminary information, temple authorities were sorting through offerings at the Subrahmanyeshwara Swamy Temple in Anantapur district when they came across the currency note bearing a handwritten message. Unlike the usual prayers seeking blessings for health, prosperity, education or family wellbeing, the note contained an emotional plea reflecting a personal family dispute.

The message, written in a requesting tone, read: "Swami, I can no longer bear the harassment from my aunt. Please make sure she dies soon."
