Amit Shah Urges UP Voters to Reject Caste and Dynasty Politics
Union Home Minister Amit Shah appeals to Uttar Pradesh voters to support BJP in 2027 Assembly polls for continued development and full majority.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday called on the people of Uttar Pradesh to rise above caste divisions and firmly reject dynastic politics practised by parties like Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP), and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Speaking as chief guest at the inauguration of the three-day Uttar Pradesh Diwas celebrations marking the state’s 77th foundation day in Lucknow, Shah set the tone for the BJP’s campaign ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
Shah urged voters to “make the lotus of the BJP bloom once again” by giving the party a full and overwhelming majority for a third consecutive term. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for transforming Uttar Pradesh from a “BIMARU” (sick) state into the nation’s growth engine and a revenue-surplus state since the BJP came to power in 2017.
Highlighting improved law and order and the benefits of the “double-engine government” (BJP at Centre and state), Shah contrasted the current progress with the alleged neglect by previous regimes. He emphasised that only the BJP can ensure the welfare of the state, the future of its youth, and national security.

Shah recalled Uttar Pradesh’s consistent support for the BJP in elections from 2014 to 2022 and described the upcoming 2027 polls as a crucial opportunity for the state to continue moving in the right direction. The event was attended by CM Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, among others.
