Adani Foundation Partners With Anushkaa to Treat 10,000 Clubfoot Children Across Five States
Adani and Anushkaa Foundation launch three-year clubfoot treatment drive for children across five states.
The Adani Foundation and the Anushkaa Foundation on Wednesday announced a three-year partnership aimed at improving treatment and follow-up care for children affected by clubfoot across five Indian states. The initiative, launched on World Clubfoot Day, seeks to support more than 10,000 children through public healthcare systems and will be implemented in collaboration with the National Health Mission (NHM). The program is expected to strengthen early intervention and long-term care for a condition that is treatable when diagnosed and managed promptly.
The partnership will cover Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Himachal Pradesh, states where access to specialized treatment and follow-up services remains critical for many families. The program was formally launched at Manyavar Kanshiram Samyukth Chikitsalay and Trauma Centre in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a state that carries one of the highest burdens of clubfoot cases in the country. Through the initiative, healthcare providers aim to improve diagnosis, treatment access, and rehabilitation support within the public health system.
Clubfoot is a congenital condition in which a child's foot is twisted out of its normal position. While the condition can lead to mobility challenges if left untreated, medical experts note that early intervention can significantly improve outcomes. The program will focus not only on treatment but also on ensuring regular follow-up care, which is essential to prevent relapse and help children achieve normal physical development.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Priti Adani emphasized the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment, stating that no child should be limited by a condition that can be effectively managed when identified early. The collaboration reflects growing efforts by public and private stakeholders to address childhood disabilities through accessible healthcare services and community-based support, ultimately improving the quality of life for thousands of affected children and their families.
