The bail order, which came after the court raised questions over delays and the strength of the grounds cited for Jain's continued custody, has given AAP's broader narrative renewed momentum at a time when the Enforcement Directorate has intensified raids and issued fresh allegations in Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal's party has presented Jain's release as vindication of its claims of political vendetta, while the BJP continues to point to ongoing investigations in Punjab as evidence of underlying corruption. Speaking on the case, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal directly targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, questioning what tangible outcome had been achieved through such prosecutions. He argued that the central government appeared consumed with efforts to jail political opponents rather than focusing on governance, suggesting a lack of genuine interest or capability in running the country.
