₹950 Crore Shakti Corridor Phase 1 Foundation Laid at Ambaji by Gujarat CM

Phase 1 of the Shakti Corridor aims to modernize Ambaji Dham and enhance facilities for devotees.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the first phase of the Shakti Corridor project at Adyashakti Dham Ambaji, with development works valued at Rs 950 crore. The corridor is part of a larger Rs 1,632 crore initiative to enhance pilgrim infrastructure and connectivity at one of India’s most revered Shakti Peeths.

The ambitious master plan, designed with a 25-year vision, aims to address the growing needs of pilgrims and tourists. Phase 1 will feature a multi-level parking facility, underpass road, Yatri Niwas, pedestrian pathways, Divya Darshan Chowk, Shaktipath, an amphitheatre, and provisions for a light-and-sound show, creating a modern, integrated pilgrimage experience.

Speaking at the event, CM Patel highlighted the influence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s heritage-linked development vision, stating, “A holistic and futuristic development of Adyashakti Dham Ambaji is underway, balancing tradition with modern infrastructure.” He cited similar initiatives at Somnath and other pilgrimage sites across India under the mantra “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi.”

Ministers Pravin Mali, Jayram Gamit, Kamlesh Patel, Swaroopji Thakor, local legislators, and dignitaries attended the ceremony, underscoring the state government’s commitment to comprehensive development of Ambaji Dham.

During the visit, CM Patel offered prayers at the Ambaji temple, seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for Gujarat. Officials noted that the corridor project will create employment opportunities for locals while ensuring Ambaji remains a prominent spiritual and cultural destination for decades to come.
