₹8,635 Crore Investment Commitments Emerge For Madhya Pradesh At Ahmedabad Dialogue
Madhya Pradesh attracts ₹8,635 crore investment proposals.
Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth Rs 8,635 crore across multiple sectors during an investment dialogue held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with the proposed projects expected to generate more than 5,785 employment opportunities. The event brought together industrialists, investors and corporate representatives from across Gujarat who expressed interest in expanding their businesses and setting up operations in Madhya Pradesh. More than 500 industrialists, investors and representatives of companies from major industrial centres including Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Vadodara participated in the Mega Investment Dialogue — Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav addressed the gathering and outlined investment opportunities available across different sectors in the state.
Yadav said Madhya Pradesh offers significant opportunities for businesses looking to establish new industrial units, expand existing facilities and scale up their operations. He invited investors from Gujarat and other parts of the country to explore the state's investment potential and assured them of government support. The Chief Minister said the state government would provide investors with facilities, security and other necessary support to help establish and operate their businesses. He highlighted Madhya Pradesh's efforts to create an investment-friendly environment and said the government was focused on facilitating industrial expansion and generating employment.
The investment proposals received at the Ahmedabad event span various sectors, although the details of individual projects and their proposed locations were not immediately specified. If implemented, the proposals could contribute to industrial activity in the state while creating thousands of employment opportunities. Yadav also referred to the broader economic development drive being undertaken across India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He said Madhya Pradesh's industrial policies were receiving appreciation from industry and were designed to support the objective of building a self-reliant India.

The state government has been seeking to attract investment by highlighting its industrial policies and opportunities for businesses. Engagements with investors outside Madhya Pradesh form part of efforts to encourage companies to establish manufacturing and other operations in the state. The participation of investors from Gujarat was significant given the state's established industrial base and the presence of major business centres. The Ahmedabad dialogue provided Madhya Pradesh with an opportunity to present its investment opportunities directly to companies and entrepreneurs already operating across manufacturing and other sectors.
The proposed investments worth Rs 8,635 crore represent expressions of interest rather than completed investments. Their eventual implementation will depend on subsequent agreements, approvals and project execution. The employment figure of more than 5,785 jobs similarly reflects the opportunities expected from the proposals if they are realised. The Madhya Pradesh government is expected to continue engaging with investors as it seeks to convert proposals into operational projects. The Ahmedabad dialogue was aimed at strengthening ties with the business community and encouraging investment in the state, with Yadav assuring prospective investors that the government would extend support throughout the process.
