10th Army Chiefs’ Conclave Focuses on Security Wisdom and India-Nepal Military Ties

India’s 10th Army Chiefs’ Conclave fosters professional dialogue and highlights enduring India-Nepal military relations.

The Tenth Chiefs’ Conclave commenced in New Delhi on Friday, emphasising professional wisdom sharing between the current Indian Army leadership and former Chiefs on contemporary security challenges, a Defence Ministry official said.

The two-day event includes former Chiefs of the Army Staff and Honorary Generals from the Nepali Army, reflecting the longstanding India-Nepal military relationship rooted in trust, shared values, and a common martial heritage. The conclave provides a platform for institutional continuity, professional dialogue, and knowledge transfer across generations.

The programme began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the National War Memorial, followed by discussions on operational preparedness, capability development, and emerging security challenges. Former Chiefs will also visit select Army establishments and cultural landmarks.

Separately, the Ministry of Defence organised a blood donation camp at the Defence Offices Complex, Africa Avenue, Delhi, with 131 personnel, including civilians and service members, participating. Certificates of appreciation were distributed to donors.

The conclave and associated activities underscore the Indian Army’s commitment to preserving institutional memory, fostering professional interaction, and strengthening ties with neighbouring militaries.
