Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Chief of Staff, Andriy Yermak, has resigned following a major corruption investigation that led to a raid on his home. Authorities searched Yermak's residence on Friday as part of a 15-month inquiry into the misuse of funds meant for protecting power infrastructure from Russian attacks.
The scandal centers on a scheme that allegedly diverted millions from a state energy company. A key figure, Timur Mindich—a former business partner of Zelenskyy—has fled the country ahead of an arrest warrant. Two Cabinet Ministers have already been dismissed, and a former Deputy Prime Minister is under scrutiny. Yermak, though not charged, promised full cooperation with investigators, but the allegations have raised serious questions about influence and accountability at the highest levels of government.
In a statement on Telegram, Zelenskyy confirmed Yermak's resignation and announced a full overhaul of the Presidential Office. He thanked Yermak for his service, praising his role in international diplomacy, and said a successor will be chosen after consultations on Saturday. The President described the move as necessary to restore public trust and maintain focus on the war effort.
