X Experiences Outage: Downdetector Shows Surge In User Complaints
X experiences outage with users reporting access issues worldwide.
Social media platform X (social media platform) experienced a widespread global outage on Monday, leaving thousands of users unable to access timelines, log in, or load the mobile application and website. The disruption was reported across multiple regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and India.
User complaints surged sharply on outage-tracking platform Downdetector, where more than 25,000 reports were recorded during the peak of the disruption. The spike indicated a simultaneous failure affecting core platform functions, with users reporting that feeds were not loading and content was stuck in continuous buffering loops.
According to breakdown data from Downdetector, nearly 49 percent of complaints were related to the mobile application, while around 15 percent were linked to issues accessing the desktop website. A significant portion of users also reported problems with timeline loading, posting updates, and refreshing content.

The outage appeared to have a broad geographic impact, with reports coming in from major cities across India, the US, and Europe. Users across devices were affected, with both mobile and desktop platforms showing similar connectivity and loading errors during the disruption period.
The exact cause of the outage has not yet been confirmed, and the company has not issued an official explanation regarding the technical failure. As a result, users were left unable to determine whether the issue stemmed from server overload, infrastructure failure, or a software-related glitch. As services remained unstable, users continued to report intermittent access issues, while the platform’s status remained uncertain pending an official update or resolution from X’s technical team.
