Indian mountaineer Bhupathiraju Anmish Varma has set a new world record by climbing the Seven Volcanic Summits in just 92 days, 4 hours, and 45 minutes, marking a remarkable achievement in the field of extreme adventure sports. His feat, accomplished across multiple continents under challenging conditions, has drawn widespread attention for its scale, speed, and endurance.
The record, officially recognised in February 2026, places Anmish among an elite group of climbers who have completed the Seven Volcanic Summits challenge, which involves scaling the highest volcanoes on each continent. His rapid completion time sets a new benchmark in the male category, highlighting both physical resilience and meticulous planning.
Anmish began his expedition with Mount Elbrus on October 23, 2024, navigating through extreme climates and difficult terrains. He concluded his journey at Mount Sidley on January 23, 2025, successfully completing the demanding challenge within just over three months.
