Pakistan PM Confirms India’s Operation Sindoor Struck Nur Khan Air Base
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif admitted that India’s Operation Sindoor targeted Nur Khan Air Base in Rawalpindi, among other sites, in a stunning acknowledgment of the Indian Air Force’s precision strikes.
Speaking on May 16, Sharif revealed that General Asim Munir woke him at 2:30 a.m. on May 10 to report the attacks, which hit eight air bases, including Nur Khan, a critical hub for Pakistan’s Air Mobility Command hosting Saab Erieye, C-130 aircraft, and IL-78 tankers.
BJP’s Amit Malviya, head of the National IT Department, shared a video on X, stating, “Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif himself admits that General Asim Munir called him at 2:30 a.m. to inform him that India had bombed Nur Khan Air Base and several other locations… This speaks volumes about the scale, precision, and boldness of Operation Sindoor.”

Launched on May 7 in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26, the operation delivered 24 missile strikes in 25 minutes, targeting nine terror camps and 11 air bases, including Rafiqui, Murid, and Rahim Yar Khan, per satellite imagery showing craters and destroyed hangars.
The strikes, which killed over 50 Pakistani soldiers and destroyed 20% of Pakistan Air Force assets, crippled its operational capacity, with Nur Khan’s proximity to military headquarters amplifying the strategic blow.
Sharif’s admission, made during a visit to Kamra Air Base, followed Pakistan’s failed counterstrikes on May 8-10. While Sharif offered peace talks centered on Kashmir, India’s pause in operations remains conditional, signaling a shift in its anti-terror policy.
