US President Trump Claims Pak-Afghan Peace Could Be His Ninth War Resolution

Trump boasts solving eight wars, eyes easy Pak-Afghan peace deal.

US President Donald Trump has set his sights on mediating the escalating conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan, calling it his "number nine" achievement in a string of self-proclaimed war resolutions. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump described the ongoing tensions—sparked by recent Pakistani airstrikes on Afghan soil—as an "easy one" for him to resolve, while juggling his duties running the United States.

"Although I do understand that Pakistan attacked, or there is an attack going on with Afghanistan. That's an easy one for me to solve if I have to solve it. In the meantime, I have to run the USA, but I love solving wars," Trump declared, reiterating his affinity for global diplomacy. The remarks come amid reports of fresh cross-border strikes, casting doubt on fragile ceasefires and upcoming talks in Doha.

Trump once again touted his record, claiming to have brokered peace in eight major conflicts, including between nuclear-armed rivals India and Pakistan—a assertion swiftly dismissed by New Delhi. Indian officials insist any de-escalation stemmed from direct military dialogues between the two nations' Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs), not US intervention. Undeterred, Trump lamented the Nobel Peace Prize oversight for his efforts, from Rwanda and Congo to the subcontinent.

"I solved eight wars. Go to Rwanda and the Congo, and talk about India and Pakistan. Look at all of the wars that we solved... I didn't get a Nobel Prize. Somebody got it who is a very nice woman... But I just care about saving lives. But this (Pak-Afghan conflict) will be number nine," he added, contrasting his feats with predecessors like George W. Bush, whom he accused of igniting wars. "So, to the best of my knowledge, we've never had a president who solved one war... But I saved tens of millions of lives."

As the Pak-Afghan standoff intensifies, Trump's bold pledge underscores his unorthodox approach to foreign policy, blending bravado with a penchant for deal-making. Whether this "easy" fix materializes remains to be seen, but it highlights the high-stakes drama unfolding in South Asia under the watchful eye of the White House.
