US Officials share Video of Precision Strikes On Iran’s Kharg Island, Hits 90 Targets
US destroys over 90 Iranian targets on Kharg Island.
The United States has carried out large-scale precision strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island, destroying more than 90 military targets in a major escalation of tensions in the Middle East. The operation targeted missile sites, naval facilities, and other military infrastructure on the strategic island, according to U.S. officials.
Kharg Island, located in the Persian Gulf, is considered the heart of Iran’s oil export network and handles the majority of the country’s crude shipments to global markets. Because of its strategic importance, the island has long been seen as one of Iran’s most sensitive economic and military assets.
U.S. Central Command described the operation as a large-scale precision strike that hit dozens of military installations across the island. Officials said the targets included missile storage sites, radar systems, and coastal defence infrastructure. The strikes were designed to weaken Iran’s military capabilities in the region while avoiding damage to critical oil export infrastructure.

Despite the extensive bombardment, the United States said it deliberately avoided destroying the island’s oil terminals and energy facilities. Kharg Island is responsible for around 90% of Iran’s oil exports, making it a crucial hub for global energy markets. Analysts say any direct damage to the oil infrastructure could disrupt global supply and sharply push up crude prices.
Following the attack, Iran warned of potential retaliation and threatened to target oil facilities linked to U.S. allies in the region. Iranian officials said any further strikes on their energy infrastructure would trigger a response, raising fears of broader escalation across the Gulf.
The strikes come amid an intensifying conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, with tensions already high across the Middle East. Security analysts say the attack on Kharg Island could have major geopolitical consequences, including risks to shipping routes near the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant share of the world’s oil supply passes.
