Several countries including US, Australia, Japan, Finland and Sri Lanka extend warm Republic Day greetings to India.

As India marked its 77th Republic Day on Monday, warm wishes and messages of goodwill poured in from countries across continents, reflecting India’s growing global stature and strong diplomatic relationships. Leaders, ambassadors and foreign missions took to social media to congratulate the people of India on the historic occasion, celebrating the country’s democratic values and constitutional legacy.

United States Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, extended his greetings while highlighting the strength of the India–US strategic partnership. Describing it as an honour to attend the Republic Day Parade for the first time, Gor praised the celebration of India’s Constitution and democratic spirit. He also noted the presence of US-made aircraft in the flypast, calling it a powerful symbol of the deepening defence and strategic cooperation between the two nations.

Japan’s Ambassador to India, Ono Keiichi, also conveyed warm wishes, expressing enthusiasm about participating in the celebrations. Referring to the At-Home reception hosted by the President of India, the envoy highlighted India’s rich cultural diversity and the strong bonds of friendship between India and Japan.
