Trump Says US May Strike Iran Again After Nuclear Talks Break Down

Trump warns of possible Iran strike after nuclear negotiations fail.

US President Donald Trump said the United States will “probably” carry out another strike on Iran, citing concerns over Tehran’s nuclear programme and accusing Iran’s position on the issue of disrupting diplomatic efforts. The remarks were made on the sidelines of the NATO summit, as tensions between Washington and Tehran continued to rise.

Trump said any further military action would be focused on preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons and not on changing the country’s leadership. He stated that the objective of US actions was related to nuclear security concerns rather than efforts aimed at regime change.

Speaking during the summit, Trump said, “We’ll probably strike Iran again tonight,” while reiterating that the issue at the centre of the conflict was Iran’s nuclear activities. He blamed Tehran’s approach to negotiations for the failure of recent diplomatic discussions between the two sides.

The comments come amid growing uncertainty over the future of US-Iran relations, with Washington indicating that it is prepared to take additional military steps if it believes they are necessary. The situation has increased concerns about further instability in the region.

Trump’s statements have added pressure on already strained diplomatic channels, as international efforts continue to address disputes surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme. Officials from various countries have urged restraint and continued dialogue to prevent further escalation.

The latest developments come at a time of heightened regional tensions, with military actions and counter-actions raising concerns about security, energy markets, and broader stability in the Middle East. The possibility of renewed strikes has increased focus on diplomatic efforts to avoid further conflict.
