Trump Media Plans Premium Service For Faster Access To Truth Social Updates
Trump Media Introduces Premium Truth Social Access
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the company behind Truth Social, announced plans on Thursday to offer paid, high-speed access to posts from select accounts on the platform, including those belonging to US President Donald Trump. The move is aimed at providing real-time data access to organisations that closely track Trump's social media activity, particularly financial institutions and news organisations that rely on rapid updates for market-moving information.
The new service, called Truth API, will provide licensed, real-time access to posts from what the company described as the highest-ranking Truth Social accounts. Scheduled to launch on August 1, the service is expected to appeal to traders, analysts and media outlets seeking faster access to statements that can influence financial markets and public sentiment.
Trump has frequently used Truth Social to announce major policy positions and comment on global developments, with his posts often attracting immediate attention from investors, political observers and international media. Topics ranging from the economy and trade policies to foreign affairs, including the Iran conflict, have been discussed by Trump on the platform, sometimes triggering rapid reactions across markets and news cycles.

Kevin McGurn, interim chief executive officer of Trump Media and Technology Group, said the service would help organisations that currently depend on manual monitoring of Truth Social posts. The company said the platform would "close the gap" for firms that need faster access to information and reduce delays in tracking important updates from influential accounts.
The announcement represents a new effort by Trump Media to expand its business model by turning the influence of Truth Social content into a commercial service. Social media platforms have increasingly explored ways to monetise real-time information, particularly as financial markets become more sensitive to statements from political leaders, central banks and major corporate executives.
Trump launched Truth Social after he was banned from Twitter, now known as X, following the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol by supporters attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election result. The platform has since become Trump's primary social media outlet, allowing him to communicate directly with millions of followers.
The introduction of Truth API comes as Trump Media seeks to strengthen the platform's role in the broader digital information ecosystem. By offering faster access to posts from influential accounts, the company is positioning Truth Social as a potential source of premium real-time data for businesses and organisations that closely monitor political and economic developments.
