Spy Chief’s Obama Conspiracy Claim Sparks Firestorm
Ex-CIA official slams Gabbard’s “false” treason accusations.
A heated clash erupted as former CIA counter-intelligence chief Susan Miller fiercely rebutted allegations by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who accused Barack Obama and his team of orchestrating a “treasonous conspiracy” to undermine Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory. Gabbard claims Obama-era officials fabricated intelligence suggesting Russian President Vladimir Putin backed Trump, aiming to delegitimize his presidency.
Speaking to The Guardian, Miller, a 39-year CIA veteran, called Gabbard’s accusations “false” and “uninformed,” rooted in misrepresentations of her team’s 2017 intelligence assessment, which relied on verified sources showing Russia’s intent to aid Trump.
Miller, defending her team’s reputation, questioned Gabbard’s espionage expertise, asking, “Has she ever met a Russian agent?” or handled covert operations. She and her team have hired defense attorney Mark Zaid to counter potential criminal charges, as Attorney General Pam Bondi’s new Justice Department “strike force” investigates Gabbard’s referrals.
Obama, alongside former intelligence leaders James Clapper and John Brennan, dismissed the claims as “outrageous” and “patently false,” suggesting they distract from scrutiny over Trump’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
