Russia Launches Drone Strikes on Kramatorsk, Killing One and Wounding Several in Night Assault
Civilian blood spills as Putin targets eastern Ukraine stronghold.
In a ruthless and meticulously timed assault on Monday evening, Russian forces launched seven deadly drones into the heart of Kramatorsk, one of the last major civilian cities still under Ukrainian control in the Donetsk region, killing a 60-year-old man and turning residential neighbourhoods into scenes of devastation and terror.
According to the Kramatorsk city administration, the swarm of drones struck within a terrifying 30-minute window, deliberately targeting densely populated civilian areas, apartment buildings, and an educational institution. Fires raged through the night, emergency teams worked under blackout conditions, and shattered glass and debris littered streets where families had only hours earlier been preparing for another ordinary evening in a war that has stolen nearly four years of their lives.
This latest atrocity follows the horrific October 2025 drone strike in the exact same city that killed two Ukrainian journalists and left a third fighting for his life, exposing a chilling pattern, Moscow is systematically targeting civilian infrastructure, journalists, schools, and residential zones in a calculated campaign to break the will of communities refusing to surrender.

Further north in Kharkiv region, Russian drones hunted civilian vehicles on rural roads, striking a car in a small village and severely wounding three people, including a 16-year-old boy, along with men aged 24 and 42. The attack serves as another brutal illustration that Russian forces are not merely aiming at military targets; they are waging total war against the Ukrainian people wherever they still hold ground.
As the conflict grinds toward its fourth anniversary with both armies locked in heavily fortified positions, Russia’s Ministry of Defence coldly announced the seizure of three more villages on Monday, advancing metre by metre through relentless artillery and drone barrages while continuing to rain death on cities like Kramatorsk, defiant symbols of Ukrainian resistance that Moscow appears determined to reduce to rubble.
