RSS Urges UN Intervention In Preventing Violence Against Bangladesh Hindus

RSS Urges UN and Global Organizations to Pressure Bangladesh to Halt Violence Against Hindus

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a prominent Hindu nationalist organization, has called on the United Nations (UN) and international bodies to exert pressure on Bangladesh to stop the escalating violence against Hindus and other minorities.

The appeal, made during the RSS’s annual Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) meeting in Bengaluru, reflects growing concern over what the group describes as "unabated and planned violence" by radical Islamist elements in the neighboring country.

In a resolution passed on Saturday, the RSS condemned the attacks, which include killings, arson, looting, and atrocities against women, as a "serious violation of human rights." The organization accused the interim Bangladesh government of failing to curb the violence, urging it to take immediate action to protect the lives, property, and dignity of Hindus, Buddhists, and other minority communities.

The RSS also highlighted the arrest of former ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, who led peaceful protests, calling his detention unjust and demanding his release.

The RSS appealed to the Indian government to intensify diplomatic efforts and engage Bangladesh in "continuous and meaningful dialogue" to ensure minority safety. Simultaneously, it pressed the UN and global community to intervene, arguing that the silence of such bodies exposes "double standards" on human rights issues.

With Bangladesh’s political instability fueling radical aggression, the RSS warned that regional stability is at stake, urging solidarity with the persecuted and swift international action to halt the violence.
