Report Claims UAE Carried Out Dozens Of Strikes In Iran With US, Israel Support

Report claims UAE struck Iran with US, Israel support.

A report has claimed that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) conducted dozens of airstrikes on Iranian targets during the recent conflict involving the United States and Israel, suggesting a significantly deeper operational role than previously known in the broader regional military campaign.

According to The Wall Street Journal, which cited individuals familiar with the matter, the strikes reportedly began in the early stages of the conflict and continued until the April ceasefire. The report suggests that the UAE’s involvement formed part of a coordinated air campaign alongside the United States and Israel, with intelligence support allegedly provided by both countries.

The strikes are said to have targeted multiple strategic sites inside Iran, including locations on Qeshm and Abu Musa islands in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as Bandar Abbas, the Lavan island oil refinery in the Persian Gulf, and the Asaluyeh petrochemical complex. Some of these operations reportedly focused on Iranian energy infrastructure in response to attacks on oil and gas facilities in the UAE.

The escalation comes against the backdrop of intensified regional hostilities, during which Iran allegedly launched more than 2,800 missiles and drones at Gulf countries, with the UAE reportedly among the most heavily targeted states. The reported exchanges mark a sharp intensification of tensions across the Gulf, with energy infrastructure emerging as a key point of vulnerability.

The report also highlights differing positions within the Gulf region, noting that the UAE is believed to have supported a more assertive military response, while Saudi Arabia reportedly preferred de-escalation and diplomatic engagement. The UAE is also said to have considered coordinated Gulf action against Iran, a proposal that did not receive broad regional backing.

Separately, the report points to growing operational coordination between the UAE and Israel during the conflict, including alleged deployment of Israeli air defence systems and personnel to assist in defending Emirati territory. It further claims that senior Israeli security officials, including the prime minister, intelligence leadership, and military chiefs, made discreet visits to the UAE during the period to coordinate strategic responses.
