Prince Harry's Flirty Texts With Daily Mail Reporter Surface During UK Court Hearing

Prince Harry's decade-old flirty Facebook messages with a Daily Mail journalist surface in court.

Prince Harry has come under fresh spotlight after flirty messages allegedly exchanged with journalist Charlotte Griffiths resurfaced during an ongoing court hearing. The texts were presented as part of Harry’s legal battle against Associated Newspapers Limited, the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday.

The messages, dating back over a decade, reportedly show Harry using affectionate terms like “sugar” and referencing “movie snuggles” while chatting on Facebook. In one exchange, he introduced himself playfully and engaged in light-hearted banter about social gatherings and weekends spent together, ending messages with kisses.

Griffiths, in response, appeared to reciprocate the tone, referring to him as “Mr Mischief” and joking about a “weekend of naughtiness". The exchanges also included casual conversations about events and social life, reflecting what seemed to be a friendly and informal rapport between the two at the time.

In court, Harry clarified that he had only met Griffiths once and claimed he cut off communication after discovering that she was a journalist. He suggested that the resurfacing of such private messages raises concerns about how personal information was accessed and later made public.

Griffiths, in her witness statement, said that they were part of the same social circles and would often frequent similar places in London, which led to their brief interactions. She indicated that their exchanges were casual and reflective of a shared social environment during that period.

The revelations come amid Harry’s broader legal case, in which he has accused Associated Newspapers Limited of using unlawful methods such as phone hacking and surveillance to obtain personal details between 1993 and 2011. The publisher has denied these allegations, maintaining that any information published came through legitimate means, with the court expected to deliver its verdict at a later date.
