Prajwal Revanna’s Seized Phone, Pen Drive Had Pornographic Videos, Movies: Police
Prajwal Revanna’s Seized Devices Contained Porn, Movies
Dozens of pornographic videos were allegedly found on a mobile phone seized from jailed former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna during a surprise inspection at Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Prison, according to a recent forensic examination. The phone was among several electronic devices recovered from Revanna’s barrack during a search conducted by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) on August 11. The findings have added a new development to the scrutiny surrounding the former parliamentarian, who is serving a prison sentence in connection with a rape case.
The seized devices were sent for forensic examination following the prison search. According to the findings reported by PTI, the mobile phone contained several explicit videos. A pen drive recovered during the same inspection was also examined and was found to contain movies and web series. The contents were identified as part of the forensic analysis of the electronic devices seized from Revanna’s possession inside the prison. The examination was conducted after authorities recovered the devices during the extensive search of his barrack.
The discovery followed reports that Revanna had been using an Android smartphone while in prison. A video that subsequently surfaced showed him wearing casual clothes and speaking to someone over the phone. The emergence of the video prompted further attention to the circumstances under which the device had been available to him inside the correctional facility. Prison authorities and investigators subsequently took possession of the phone and other electronic items recovered during the inspection.

The search at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison reportedly lasted between four and five hours and was carried out by the CCB. Officials recovered the mobile phone along with other electronic devices from Revanna’s barrack and subsequently sent them for detailed forensic analysis. Such examinations are used by investigators to establish what material is stored on electronic devices and to identify potentially relevant information. The latest findings specifically relate to the contents discovered on the phone and pen drive recovered during the prison search.
Revanna, a former Lok Sabha member of the Janata Dal (Secular), is currently in jail in connection with a rape case. His legal troubles have previously attracted significant public attention, and investigators have examined digital material connected with the broader cases involving him. The latest forensic findings concern devices recovered inside the prison and are separate from the allegations and evidence considered in the cases for which he was convicted and sentenced.
The recovery of electronic devices from a prison inmate has also raised questions about security and the monitoring of prohibited items inside the facility. The surprise inspection resulted in the seizure of the phone and other materials, after which authorities initiated the forensic examination. The discovery of explicit videos on the phone and entertainment content on the pen drive has now been documented in the forensic findings reported by the news agency.
The latest development comes after the video showing Revanna using a phone inside the prison had surfaced publicly. Authorities subsequently carried out the detailed search that led to the recovery of the devices. With the forensic examination now revealing the contents of the seized phone and pen drive, investigators have additional information about the material stored on the devices. The findings are expected to remain part of the official examination of the electronic items recovered during the August 11 inspection at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.
