PM Modi To Address Youth At Khelo India Dialogue On Sports And Nation-Building
PM Modi will engage youth on sports, leadership and Olympic goals.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with young people at the Khelo India Dialogue on Thursday, focusing on sports, youth leadership and the vision of a developed India. The nationwide programme will provide a platform for young participants to share their aspirations and ideas on strengthening India's sporting ecosystem and contributing to a youth-led Viksit Bharat.
The virtual interaction will centre on five broad themes — sports, Olympic aspirations, youth leadership, Viksit Bharat and a Nasha Mukt Yuva movement. Discussions will focus on improving sports facilities, coaching, sports science and inclusive participation, while creating stronger pathways for identifying and developing sporting talent across the country.
A key objective will be preparing Indian athletes for the 2036 Olympics through scientific talent identification, transparent selection processes and long-term athlete development. The initiative also seeks to encourage young people to take greater interest in sports and fitness while creating opportunities for them to contribute to India's sporting ambitions and national development.

Organised by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) as part of National Sports Day 2026 celebrations, the programme will involve youth from two colleges in every district across States and Union Territories. Local interactions will also bring together MY Bharat volunteers, young participants, sportspersons and public representatives, creating opportunities for discussions around sports, volunteering, civic responsibility and nation-building.
Another major feature will be direct interaction between young sports enthusiasts and leading Indian athletes and medal winners. Under the Yuva Samvaad segment, participants will be encouraged to present their ideas, perspectives and aspirations. The initiative is intended to give young people a direct role in discussions shaping India's future sports and youth ecosystem.
The dialogue will also promote youth leadership through governance platforms and MY Bharat-led volunteering, while encouraging future-ready skills and civic-mindedness. The Nasha Mukt Yuva theme will use sport and peer networks to encourage young people to stay away from substance abuse, alongside weekly Jan Bhagidari activities under the Prime Minister's 100-week nationwide campaign launched on August 2.
