PM Modi Arrives In Norway, To Strengthen Bilateral Relations
PM Modi said his Norway visit will strengthen India-Norway friendship and expand bilateral cooperation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed confidence that his visit to Norway would further strengthen bilateral ties between India and Norway, as he arrived in Oslo for a two-day official visit aimed at deepening cooperation across trade, technology, and sustainability. The visit follows his engagements in Sweden and marks a key phase of his tour of Nordic countries.
Upon arrival, PM Modi was received at the airport by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, a gesture highlighted by both sides as a reflection of the growing warmth in bilateral relations. Modi described the reception as gracious and noted that this is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Norway in over four decades.
During the visit, PM Modi is scheduled to attend the third India-Nordic Summit, where he will engage with leaders from Nordic countries on issues ranging from economic cooperation to climate action. He will also hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Støre, along with meetings with King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway.
